Memorial Day

Memorial Day

Finn Manley, Reporter

With school close to releasing, Memorial Day is coming soon as well. Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the U.S. for mourning the U.S. military personnel who have passed while serving in the United States armed forces. It always happens on the last Monday of May. What many people do for this particular holiday is to visit cemeteries and memorials on Memorial Day to honor and mourn those who died serving. Also, many volunteers place an American flag on graves of military personnel in national cemeteries. This holiday overall honors those soldiers for the U.S. who died in service. This holiday is very meaningful for some and all those soldiers should be remembered for their sacrifices.
