Superstitions

Do you randomly throw salt behind you or knock on wood, do you carry rusty horseshoes or a dead rabbit foot. This is what people call superstitions. Most superstitions come from cultural and religious beliefs but what do they really mean.

If a black cat crosses your path It means death will come soon. When you knock on tree trunks you are apparently calling on the spirits to protect you. When going through a triangle it destroys the sanctity of the Trinity and a ladder obviously makes a triangle so that’s why you don’t walk under one. I personally don’t think superstitions actually protect you but I know my mom wouldn’t let me open an umbrella inside anyway.
