Did you know that having solid levels of Vitamin D in your system seem to help keep you healthy– in fact it is being touted as helping reducing the risk of contracting the Coronavirus?

One way to naturally obtain Vitamin D is through sunlight.  Some call vitamin D the Sunshine vitamin~ everyone should be going outside for at least 10 minutes a day anyway for fresh air and time away from the “family quarantine” for some solitude.  A brisk walk or even sitting in a chair reading in the sunlight helps.

Some other ways of garnering vitamin D are eating:

  • fatty fish & seafood
  • mushrooms
  • egg yolks
  • eating foods fortified with vitamin D         One can also take a vitamin D supplement
